On Saturday 6th March 2021, the eleventh Open Data Day took place with people around the world organising hundreds of events to celebrate, promote and spread the use of open data. Thanks to generous support from key funders, the Open Knowledge Foundation was able to support the running of more than 60 of these events via our mini-grants scheme.

This event received an Open Knowledge Foundation mini-grant thanks to support from Microsoft.

How did your event celebrate open data?

Gathering young people to let them know about open data we have and why it is important to use them to let the world know about their work.

Lessons learned from your event

Technology is challenging but I found that open data can bring people together and let them know about each other work and interest online at a reduced cost.

Why do you love Open Data Day?

It is an useful open and free day full of events to get to know technology working for people and humanity.
